Hopefully There Will Be Hope (Bumpy Ride, Melting Inside: The Film) portrays a woman who wishes to purvey justice and progress to the US but lacks the tools and ideology. She travels with her popsicle cart (she believes the popsicles to contain a magic elixir) across the Rockies, arriving to find the landscape abandoned. She performs a protest dance at one of the ruins, and continues her journey, ending up at the Salton Sea, which has disintegrated from the booming vacation destination it was in the 50s to a barren, salinated wasteland. She meets a tuba player and they start a band. The only song they know how to play is "Que Sera Sera."
