Bumpy Ride, Melting Inside, 2017

Bumpy Ride, Melting Inside features a repurposed mid-century credenza which functions alone as a sculptural object and also appears in a short film. The project questions the lasting trend of incorporating modernist design into postmodern domestic spaces in the form of mid-century furniture- design that occupied idealogical spaces that proceeded second wave feminism and the civil rights movement.
